Well, the big box has finally made the trip from New Hampshire, to Boston, to Cleveland, to St. Louis to Bolivar. After what seems like a hundred screws the shipping crate is open and the contents revealed.
The contents, one 2002 Yamaha 650 Classic (deep blue and black). After a trip to the gas station for gas. A trip to the parts store for oil. Then a little trip around the block wearing my new leather jacket (a very nice gift from my wife) and my black helmet. I am sure i look so “biker”.
The first trip on the new bike was to the post office to mail my taxes. I had to come home and get some more clothes for a ride down town. It is only about 35 degrees here in Bolivar today.
I think the box is significant. As we grow older we allow people to define a box of us. We become all to accepting of the box to the point it defines us. Today, I pulled out a drill with a screw bit and opened the box. I put on a leather jacket and took a ride in the winter sun. Older, sure. Wiser, I hope. But, I took a ride the the heart of a high school guy with a bike…
Family Trip to Ha Ha Tonka

We took a late December, pre-Christmas trip to one of our local state parks here in Missouri. We have been several times, but Ha Ha Tonka is just a great place to hike around and take pictures.
There are several cool things about hiking around Ha Ha Tonka, but I think time with family has to be one of the best. This is a picture of my family over looking the spring that flows 48 million gallons a day.
When the weather is nice everyone should get out and talk. It was great to turn off the video games and TV and spend some time walking and talking.
Walking and talking is a great way to strengthen family.

, a fancy photo sharing thing.
Ok, I think I have this set up now to share a few photos from the flickr photobuck. Flickr is a wonderful service. I am sure you can get your own free blog and free photobuck so that millions for people can miss the importance of what you say and experience, but for the five that do share the experience – ah community.

Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it and start blogging!
I guess that is were blogging begins with so many people. You get the free account. It loads the standard template. You stare at the screen and then write the standard things. I guess the magic of blogging is that we really feel that somewhere amoung the 1000’s of other blogs and webpages that are created this very second, our will be the one that stands out. We scoff, knowing that it is not true.
But deep down we hope someone will read this page besides our Mother! Hi Mom and hello to you as well.
